Things to know about HSS workshops:

All HSS workshops are educational events, not group shoots.

Content development workshops are designed to teach the application of lightnig to a particular genre. Lighting skils workshops are designed to teach a particular lighting techniue or skill.

Model(s) and a makeup artist (MUA) are provided for every workshop.

Lighting skills workshops are about 50/50 discussion to shooting. Content development workshops are about 30/70 discussion to shooting.

We use radio triggers for connecting the camera to the strobes. Your camera must have a hot shoe or a PC connection in order to use the radios.

A Lighting Skills Workshop

The face is the window to the soul and a portrait is the art that captures that soul. This workshop will teach you a number of ways to make great portraits and headshots. You’ll learn single light, multiple light set ups as well as a number of natural light methods of taking great portraits.

You’ll also learn what makes a great actor’s headshot and simple ways to create great ones.

This month’s model will be Janet Tillmans.
